Hello, I’m 5’7” 155lbs. Current cup size is a 36 E but very deflated after 4 children. I had a consult for a breast lift with implants. Surgery is booked for July. I believe the surgeon said my breast width for implant size is 14cm. 595cc HP silicone implants have been recommended. I want very full “those can’t be real” looking boobs. I hear a lot of people say they wish they went bigger. Is 595cc’s enough? I’ll post pictures of what my end goal is.
Answer: Wondering about 595cc breast implants plus lift Thank you for your question. In general, 595cc implants are at the larger end of the implant range. However, every person has a different idea of what looks "natural" versus "augmented" so it's difficult to know how you will perceive the outcome. In my practice I find the best way for patients to get a sense of their final size is by trying on implant sizers while wearing an unpadded bra. The other option is to look at before-and-after photos of people with similar body dimensions as you. I also offer 3D virtual imaging but in my experience it doesn't work well for patients with any sagging, and you mentioned that you are considering a breast lift. Hopefully you surgeon will be able to give you a good sense whether they outcome you're seeking will be achieved with your current implant choice.

Answer: Surgery is booked but I can’t decide on cc’s Hello, I would recommend using dry rice and a sizing guide to try different sizes on if you cannot try on in office. If you measured at a 14cm breast width it will depend on the style of the implant you are choosing. Mentor has Boost implants which are a cohesive silicone, you could do the high profile in those and go up to 685cc given your measurement. An in-between size would be 635cc. If the office has them to try on I would do that otherwise using a rice sizer is second best. All the best, Dr. Joe

Answer: Implant Size Only you can know want you want. The best way to figure out the size is have plenty of data points. One option is to visit a place that has Vectra 3-D imaging. Another option is to have the surgeon provide anatomic implant sizers to put in your bra so you can get a better sense.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Thanks for your question! Schedule a visit with your surgeon to try on implants. Bring a few tight tops with you to see how they look in clothes. The size that your surgeon is recommending is a nice, full size. Best wishes!

Answer: Imoplant size Dear Charming850926, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
