A lot of my hair in the donor areas was pulled out 2 years ago in an accident(no scarring or anything like that), so those are actually the thinnest parts but I have an decent beard, I know facial and head hair are always different but from what I see and feel, my beard and head hair are similar and I can grow a decently long beard. Could my beard hairs be used to fill up thin space?

Answer: Beard Hair To Be Used For Coverage At The Scalp Beard hair can be harvested using FUE and used for coverage at other parts of the body. However, the donor availability of beard hair is limited. The recipient area and the donor capacity at the beard area should be measured to evaluate if the math is favourable enough to do the procedure.

Answer: Beard to Scalp Hair Transplant Beard of Face to Scalp Hair Transplant (FSHT) is a one of the newer methods of hair restoration. We have been doing it in last two years with good success rate thanks to the modern technique of hair restoration. Beard hair is usually thicker but it grows in groups of one hair rather than 2s or 3s in scalp. Also its growth phase is shorter than scalp hair. On average its values is less than scalp hair unless when patients do have a very fine scalp hair or not adequate number of grafts from their scalp to restore their balding areas. In those cases beard hair is a successfully used as we have been doing many of them within the last two years in Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration Centers in Los Angeles.
