I got 1ml of lip fillers last week and my lips look uneven. No swelling or bruising. It seems like the right upper lip has filler, while the left side doesn’t. Is my right side going to settle more in the next weeks or is it badly injected? Can lip filler move from one side to another like this as it seems even right after the injection? Thanks!

Answer: Uneven lips It may take 2 weeks post injection to evaluate results due to swelling, fluid reabsorption in the product and tissue manipulation. Juvederm, being hyaluronic acid, is malleable and removable. An experienced injector may be able to massage the product or remove part of the product or inject more product to achieve a more symmetrical outcome. Often with injections there is an initial injection and a secondary injection if you look at many of the filler product brochures. Return to the same injector and discuss your concerns and compare your photos. Good luck.

Answer: Asymmetrical lip filler I usually tell my patients to wait for 2 weeks after the injection to let the swelling go down and you can then finally assess your results. It's unlikely that filler has moved from one side to another ( unless it was done intentionally by applying a good amount of pressure). Meet your injector if you are not satisfied after a week to discuss about the options (manual moulding, hyaluronidase to dissolve the right side or injecting more filler in left side)
