Too much filler on top lip causing m shape? (Photo)

I would wait 2 weeks before making a decision about whether or not it is overfilled.  If after 2 weeks you are still unhappy with the amount or placement of the filler, you can always have it dissolved.  I would recommend speaking with your injector about your concerns.

Dear 123fg,Juvederm has significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks.  Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve.  Dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MD

Thank you for your question! I think your lips look good.  The upper lip is naturally M shaped in most people,  if overfilled you get the dreaded sausage shaped lip.  Go back to see the doctor who did the injection,  and I bet the before photos show the same M shape.  If still unhappy, there are ways to tweak the results. Thankyou for your question .Lip filler do actually take 2 weeks to settle so give it time . However if things do not change i recommend you return to the injector and have some of the filler dissolved.Good luck

It does not appear from your photos that you are over-filled. Most likely you have some normal swelling after the procedure. Ice compresses may not do much to improve the swelling at this point, but it would not do any harm. Time is the key - in 3-4 weeks, the appearance will settle. If you are worried, check in with your injector for assurance that you are progressing toward your goal. Best wishes.
