Hello, I got Juvederm ultra on December 11th. I had some bruising and bump. I have notice that go down. I haven’t noticed the m shape “swelling” on my top lip go down. I’m scared that it overfilled with Juvederm and I’m stuck with duck lips. Picture was taken today December 14th. Please advise): Should I ice above lip? ):

Answer: Swelling Dear 123fg,Juvederm has significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks. Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve. Dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MD

Answer: The upper lip is naturally M shaped in most people Thank you for your question! I think your lips look good. The upper lip is naturally M shaped in most people, if overfilled you get the dreaded sausage shaped lip. Go back to see the doctor who did the injection, and I bet the before photos show the same M shape. If still unhappy, there are ways to tweak the results. Best of luck!
