One implant looks bigger than the other - is there something wrong with my 6 year old implants? (photos)

I see the difference but don't think you have anything really wrong because you don't have any symptoms of capsular contracture or bottoming out. I believe it is just normal aging of your augmentation. If it bothers you enough then surgery could correct the asymmetry using new, different sized implants.

Since you have two different sizes of implants, your breasts are not equal in size. You may have some capsular formation, or have lost or gained some breast tissue from weight changes. If you are concerned, please visit with your plastic surgeon.

Dear Jojo,A capsular contracture makes the breast feels more thight, more hardy. You can make a breast ultrasound just for verify the well-being of the implant. Greetings.

Hi, Your breasts do look asymmetric. Capsular contracture can occur when scar tissue around your breast implant gets thick and tight. It can lead to distortion of the breast, visible abnormality, and pain. If your breasts are changing in appearance you should have your plastic surgeon evaluate them and also consider an MRI if you are concerned for a breast implant rupture.

If you are not experiencing pain or tightness of the breast this may not be capsular contracture. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon for an examination. Seeing your before photos would be helpful. Typically the 25cc size difference between your implants is not obvious once in the body. It does not appear from your photos that you have a capsular contracture. Usually, patients who have contractures experience pain/discomfort. If you are experiencing any issue, I suggest you contact your plastic surgeon for an appointment.

Pre-op photos would help in determining what is actually causing your asymmetry. It appears that the higher breast would benefit from a revision procedure where some of the scar tissue (capsule) is removed to reshape and lower the breast.

Six years after your breast enlargements, you feel there is a size difference. No pain noted. Shapes, size differences, and positions may be related to pre-existing breast asymmetries. The current photos do not help resolve your concerns, since what you need is a visit to a qualified, certified plastic surgeon for an examination and consultation. This should help give you peace of mind and direction if you need any further care.
