Power assisted liposuction is much faster because it will help the doctor to remove more fat with less bleeding.

Thank you for your question. Honestly, the best option to have good results is Epidural or general anesthesia and conventional liposuction. Liposuction procedures is very delicate and aggressive to our body, when a patient is awake specially with this type of surgery can be a risk, and based on your pictures you can have a very good results with a good liposuction performed.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, general anesthesia is a better option for liposuction of larger area. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

I always perform liposuction under general anesthesia because it allows the patient to get optimal results. The problem with local anesthetic is that you can only use so much before the body gets the toxic levels. The patient is completely asleep with general anesthesia, and the surgeon can be aggressive with their liposuction. If you want a sculpted abdomen, I would suggest VASER Hi-Def liposuction. The VASER melts the fat and allows for optimal fat to be suctioned out. Ultimately, the choice is yours. I do believe that you will get the best results under general anesthesia. Hi, thanks for your question and photos. Both systems are acceptable. Choose the best surgeon based on their former results and who gives you more trust. I would recommend Lipo with general anesthesia and assisted by J-Plasma to get the best results. As you may see, there are a lot of options. The most important is to find the best surgeon. Both techniques are very acceptable and most of us use both. Look at their photos and decide who you think does the best job.

I perform some "awake" liposuction under local anesthesia. This would be for small areas or to touch up minor concerns. For most other situations general anesthesia is preferred. This is for the patient's comfort and safety, as well as to maximize results.

There is no right or wrong here.
I perform all of my procedures under deep sedation or lite general. This allows me to be aggressive and take fat both close to the skin and muscle without discomfort.
EVERYONE uses the tumescent technique (injecting a saltwater solution mixed with lidocaine (numbing) and epinephrine [which stops bleeding] ). The type of liposuction technique is surgeon independent.

Liposuction is not your better choice, either powered or manual, though powered is better controlled.

You should consider semaglutide to loose your extra fat weight then proceed with contouring that may be tummy tuck or trunk lift.

Very interesting question. Nice posted photos BTW. You have easily 4 liters of supernatant fat available to lipo. At that higher amount the majority of Am Boarded PSs would offer general anesthesia with tumescence injections for lipo (90+%). The major reason is the amounts of local anesthesia woudl either be an overdose effect leading to severe complications or a very long surgery over 4+ hours to allow the body to metabolize off these amounts of local needed. Plus I see a "red flag" in that is the surgeon offering local anesthesia only a true boarded PS by the Am Board of Plastic Surgery? I tend to doubt.... Also use f power assisted ot traditional has nothing to do with the type or outcomes of liposuction. BTW fees from $5,000+ Best to virtual consult with...
