I am meeting with 2 different surgeons for consultations on lipo360 and thigh lipo. One uses local anesthesia and power assisted lipo because he says both allow him to get more tailored results. The local anesthesia allows for moving around so he can see all angels and see how you look standing up. The other uses general anesthesia and traditional lipo and says this gives him the most control over results. Both are board certified. I’d love some opinions on the two options. Thanks!

Answer: Liposuction BBL Fat Transfer Lipo Autologous Fat Transfer Tummy Tuck VASER HI-Def Liposuction Thank you for your question regarding liposuction options, traditional versus power assisted. You are making a wise decision by going with a board-certified plastic surgeon. I always perform liposuction under general anesthesia because it allows the patient to get optimal results. The problem with local anesthetic is that you can only use so much before the body gets the toxic levels. The patient is completely asleep with general anesthesia, and the surgeon can be aggressive with their liposuction. If you want a sculpted abdomen, I would suggest VASER Hi-Def liposuction. The VASER melts the fat and allows for optimal fat to be suctioned out. Ultimately, the choice is yours. I do believe that you will get the best results under general anesthesia. Thank you for your question regarding traditional versus power-assisted liposuction under general or local anesthesia. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
