Question

Hello, I am 24 (M) and I have a very straight feminine nose. I am middle eastern so I wish to add a bump on my nose to make it bigger, more defined and more masculine (imo). If possible, I'd love to be linked pictures of people who got a bump added on their nose through rhinoplasty because sadly I wasn't able to find some on the internet and most people seem to prefer the straight nose look. I thought of using rib cartilage but idk if it's the best choice. Thank you in advance !

I would advise you to try a temporary filler first as a dress rehearsal to see if you like it and then you can either convert it to a permanent filler such as Bellafill or seek out surgical options if you prefer.

This actually is not an uncommon request, and it can be achieved surgically. Depending on the amount of augmentation necessary to create the size of dorsal hump you are looking for it may require rib cartilage, but for more subtle to moderate amounts of augmentation ear cartilage may provide sufficient volume to accomplish this.

Honestly, your nose (assuming that is the last picture) looks really good! Are you really sure you want a bump/make the nose bigger? I don't think it looks to feminine at all. However, if this IS something you wanted, you would definitely need to have cartilage added to your nose. It is possible you have enough in your nose alone from your septum but it is possible you may need more, in which case rib/ear might be a good option. Good luck!

Hello, and thank you for your question and photos. Yes, cartilage grafts are frequently used in rhinoplasty to add support, structure, and shape to the nose. Another option you can consider is dermal fillers so that you can “try out” the look before committing to invasive surgery that would yield permanent results.

Yes, you can get a bump on your nose. We would want to build up the cartilage. Rib cartilage is an option, as are other sources of cartilage and techniques.
