Why has rhinoplasty caused me to now snore? Never snored before and since having rhino 2 years ago, I snore.

Hi post_rhinoplasty. I would definitely get your nose examined. The snoring could be due to many different factors, and no one can tell you an answer unless she looks in your nose. Assuming what you said is correct and that it is only due to the nose, any surgeon who does rhinoplasty should be able to help you. If there is a possibility it may be related to something else, then an ENT doctor would be a good starting point as she can look at the nose, the throat, and the neck as possible causes for the snoring. Obviously, it would be nice if I could read your operative report to see what was actually done. But my guess is that you developed some degree of nasal obstruction after your procedure. As a result, you started breathing more comfortably though your mouth. You might try putting those small breathing devices in each nostril one night and seeing if that helps.

If grafts or tissue are too prominent, it may be restricting airflow. I would have your surgeon evaluate carefully inside your nose to determine what has changed.
