Would a second fat transfer help with upper pole fullness?

Question

I am 5'2" and have had a few lifts and in 2021 had a revision and fat transfer after bottoming out. I dont think my tissue would support implants, but im not sure if anothet fat transfer would help with upper poll fullness?

I would love to know exactly what the few lifts were and what techniques were used as this will set the road map for what needs to be done moving forward. We have developed a procedure called the Naturabra that transfers your own breast tissue to the upper pole of the breast and obviates the need for implants while supporting it internally in a re-operative scenario. We also use fat grafts for support and symmetry of the upper and medial (cleavage) poles but would really need to see your photos to see if you would benefit from that procedure.

Hello, thank you for your question. Yes in short fat transfer would help provide slightly more fullness to the area it is transferred too. Keep in mind that it is not a replacement for a high profile breast implant. Fat transfers to breasts given you a more subtle appearance of fullness and can fluctuate with your own weight gain and weight loss. Alternatively they are not heavy as an implant would be. I would bring in wish pics to your plastic surgeon to see if those results can be achieved.

I would ask you how well the first transfer worked. If you think it was worth while then it may be worth a second time. You can basically expect a comparable result from a second fat grafting that you got from the first in terms of fat retention

Fat goes into actual breast tissue so it is limited in giving upper pole fullness. Implants placed behind the muscle give good fullness.

You didn’t state so in your post but I assume you’ve had previous implants since you mentioned bottoming out

Fat transfer can increase breast volume but does not change breast shape especially upper pole fullness.

Grafton fat will survive based on where there is a greater abundance of host tissue and then those who lack volume in the upper half of the breast very little fat will survive because the area is so lacking or devoid of host tissue to support the graft.

Breast implants on the other hand do an exceptionally good job at creating volume in the upper half of the breast and is the procedure of choice if volume in the upper half is desired.

Without knowing your full history it’s not possible to make an assessment or any particular recommendations. Not including photos gives us really nothing to go by.

The key to Long thermost success for breast augmentation within plants is placing the implants in a correct pocket which needs to be high enough that the implant does not bottom out.

The key to long-term success with this and almost all cosmetic surgical procedures is finding the most talented and experienced provider.

Perhaps Riyadh mentation in a different tissue plan maybe an option for conceivably reinforcing with a cadaver dermis product like aloderm

I suggest having in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons to get a quality assessment and better understanding of what can and can’t be achieved with each procedure.

Fat transfer is not a good shaping procedure.
