Chances of marble like balls forming in your breast after breast fat transfer? I'm concerned after watching a YouTube video of a girl who say there was a golf size lump in her breasts and so much fat that the mammogram doctor said he can't ever tell if she has breast cancer
Answer: Benign cystic changes are common after fat grafting to the breast Fat grafting to the breast is a specialized technique. The technique involved placing small amounts of fat throughout the rest. When large Lakes of this fat are grafted, some of the fat will not heal appropriately and it is common to have small cystic lumps because of this. If you see a board certified or board eligible plastic surgeon it is likely that they are skilled in this technique and the chances of having very large lumps would be lower. Radiologists skilled in reading mammograms usually do not have an issue telling the difference between these benign lumps and more worrisome changes on breast imaging.

Answer: Fat transfer If the fat transfer is done correctly and not of too much volume, the risks of fat necrosis is small. Go to a surgeon who does lots of fat transfers and has the experience.

Answer: Chances of marble like balls forming in your breast after Breast Fat Transfer? Hello @urbanfloraxo thank you for your question. Breast fat transfer or autologous fat lipoinjection is a natural volume technique that can be applied for aesthetic or restorative purposes. if this technique is not done with the expertise and skill needed it could cause fat necrosis and one of the ways it presents is this hard lumps hard and round, and in a mammogram seems like tumors. The technique of Fat transfer is used to provide symmetry and improve the body contour and therefore does not increase more than one size. An on-site or virtual consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is the best way to determine an appropriate intervention by assessing the individual characteristics of the patient breasts and goal look. Answer: Fat transfer Dear Good811259, that is probably fat necrosis. Fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can also be very effective in correcting the size and shape of the breasts due to genetic problems such as tuberous breast or Poland Syndrome, two conditions that look like misshapen or underdeveloped breasts. In addition, the following scenarios are also reason to consider breast fat grafting:• If you have chest areas that appear creased and sunken• If you desire more permanent correction than is provided by temporary fillers• If you wish to improve your body contour, revise scars, fill bodily depressions and rejuvenate the natural curve of your breasts• To fill in contour irregularities or hide obvious signs of breast implantsYou should discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure your surgeon understands your concerns and your breast augmentation goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
