What is the real risk of weight loss after Breast fat Transfer? I am under the impression that fat cells shrink when losing weight they don’t just evaporate though it seems they do. If a month goes by after a fat transfer and cells have a blood supply, wouldn’t they just shrink with weight loss and then with weight gain become larger? Or can weight loss after the fat grafting cause some irreversible fat cell necrosis? Asking because I’m outdoorsy and weight fluctuates a lot with the seasons.

The size of a woman’s breasts can be affected by hereditary factors, extreme weight loss, the aging process, and pregnancy. About 50% of the fat obtains permanence. In general, the abdomen and thighs are preferred donor sites. You will need at least 6 weeks before you will realize your result. Some of the retention rate will depend upon the amount of fat transferred, as smaller volumes will likely have a higher survival.

generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a surgery, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery. You are correct. Weight loss with shrink fat cells, all fat cell, those transferred and those local. If you are very athletic, fat transfer may not be in your best interest.
