Hello, thank you for your question. It is possible to not wear compression garment after lipo. It really depends on the amount liposuction. Less lipo then we advise lot of massaging to the area to prevent contour irregularities. If a significant amount of liposuction is performed ie 1-2L from that area then compression garment is advised. Indents can occur with compression garments, even with a fitted FAJA garment.

Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.

I always placed my ladies in compression for better results, to make it feel better, and to minimize the swelling.

Compression garments are used to give a shape and at the same time reduce complications like seroma formation in liposuction area. Normally we advise patient to use compression garment for 1 months after liposuction .
