I use diluted Juvederm Ultra Plus for the deep forehead wrinkles, however, one can use Voluma deep and also superficial for softening this area.
Voluma is an excellent facial filler that can help with deep wrinkles. On the forehead, it can be used in conjunction with Xeomin or Botox to reduce wrinkling. Raffy Karamanoukian MD FACS
Hi,Voluma is best used to restore lost facial volume in the cheeks, the only area that it is approved for use in the US. The best treatment for deep forehead wrinkles is the injection of neuromodulators such as botox, dysport, and xeomin. I would not recommend the use of fillers for deep forehead wrinkles. Choose your injecting physician most carefully. Good luck and be well.Dr. P
Depending on how deep the wrinkles are on the forehead, you can use many different hyaluronic acid filler products. Voluma, traditionally has been used for cheek augmentation. For forehead wrinkles, restylane and juvederm can be used to cosmetically soften these folds.
This is a great question. Voluma has a density and thickness, a memory that make this filler almost perfect for the cheeks. In fact the specific FDA clearance for Voluma is malar volume deficit, which in short means cheeks. For forehead lines I prefer Juvederm Ultraplus injections using a needleless needle, called a microcannula. Please note that the use of fillers for forehead lines carries its own risks, since it is off label, without any specific FDA approval.
Voluma is FDA approved for restoring midface volume. Use on other areas of the face would be considered "off label". Although there might be a situation where "off label" use would be appropriate, the forehead is unlikely to be one. Due to the robust lifting that Voluma offers, it is injected beneath the skin, not into it. Forehead lines would probably be best treated by a filler that can be injected into the skin, a neurotoxin like Botox and/or laser resurfacing.
No. Voluma is intended for mid-face volume loss. It's not about the amount of time it lasts. It's about the size of the particle itself. Voluma would be way too thick to be injected into the forehead region and would not be a good choice for this area. It's a shame that there are so many highly visible examples of poorly done cosmetic procedures in Hollywood. The unnatural chipmunk look you are referring to should never occur if you are being treated by an expert board-certified dermatologist who understands facial anatomy and aesthetics. The...
Voluma is an injectable hyaluronic-acid-based facial filler that has been formulated to add volume to the cheeks, cheekbones and chin. You will see the results immediately. You may have some post-procedure redness, swelling, and/or bruising but these should resolve within a few days to two weeks...
It generally takes about 3-4 days for this to go away, although sometimes it can take up to two weeks. This all depends on your rate of recovery, and how you generally recover from trauma. If you heal quickly, then you will heal from this quickly as well since it's related to the needle rather...
Hi,Voluma is not a commodity that is used the same in all patients. There are patients who have minimal volume loss who may need a small amount one time over a two year period. There are other patients who need a large amount of volume replacement. Those patients are treated...
Juvederm is a softer hyaluronic acid filler that is used primarily in the perioral and lip area. It is excellent in this area and should not be used in the tear trough area as it can provide too much volume in this area. Voluma is a deeper volumizing hyaluronic acid filler that is used primarily...
