I’d had lip fillers once before and didn’t like how much it changed the look of my face. I still wanted a fuller lip, but something more subtle. I read about a Botox lip flip and decided to give it a try. Despite the numbing cream it was still pretty spicy getting injections in that location. I’m about ten days out and my upper lip is starting to feel less numb. For a while I couldn’t swish water in my mouth without it dribbling out and eating seemed tricky. In spite of this, I love the results. It’s given me that natural fullness I wanted. I also got a unit of filler in my marionette lines at the same time.
Great experience! Highly recommend! Definitely would come back for another treatment. I was skeptical at first about getting CoolSculpting treatment, but now I’m definitely on board and got great results.
If you look at the very last picture of my lipo/BBL review, you can see a picture of a couple of deep dimples on my left thigh that became more prominent after fat transfer to the outer buttocks. I believe these dimples were always present but hard to see; after my butt was filled out a little (450mLs each side), I believe the extra weight combined with skin laxity caused these dimples to be more obvious. The mini-BBL was exactly a year ago. The left thigh had deeper but fewer dimples. The right thigh had shallower but more numerous ripples. This was complicated by the fact that 15 years ago, I had tumescent lipo to the saddlebag region, and it's possible some canula tracks were made. Nonetheless, I've had thigh ripples for a long time, despite being of normal weight. After a completely failed attempt with Accent at a local medispa, I turned to the kind, considerate, and gentle Dr Douglas Key at Key Laser Center. I knew that only Cellfina and Cellulaze had any real chance of notably improving my cellulite. Thus far in my area, no one has Cellulaze and Dr Key is the only one who has Cellfina. Dr Key was very thorough and meticulous in his examination. He used an angled light to look at my thighs, having me turn minute amounts so that could see how the dimples stretched, moved, and connected. He was very honest in saying he didn't know if all my dimples would respond because my dimples were more like troughs, or peaks and valleys, rather than perfectly round, discrete dimples. Part of my issue is also skin laxity...there's just no getting around it at 40. I'll likely need radio frequency afterwards to maximize the tightening. I had the Cellfina procedure yesterday, and it was very easy compared to last year's lipo. I had about 20 dimples addressed, and the procedure took about an hour and a half or so. The injection of local anesthetic was, as warned, the only painful part. But as the solution diffuses, each subsequent poke becomes less painful. I'd say on a scale of 1-10, the worst injections were a 5, but they were short-lived. The actual Cellfina then goes very quickly once you've been injected with the local anesthetic. It sounds like a small tree saw and you don't feel a thing. Afterward, you drain a bit just like lipo, but to a much, much less extent. I put on a compression garment with absorbent pads. Attached are my pictures taken today, one day after the procedure. I'm obviously very bruised and the tissue feels tender. It's still too puffy to tell whether it has worked. The pictures I've seen all indicate about a 50% improvement...which I'd be satisfied with. Dr Key and the amazing staff at Key Laser were extremely gracious, kind, funny, warm, and very real. Dr Key is so gentle and sweet! He was very generous with his time and with his honest opinions. Updated on 4 Jun 2016: Trying not to get too excited since I know the bruising and swelling is likely hiding some of the dimpling. That said, the areas definitely look smoother to me, especially given the "furrows" on the left outer thigh were pretty deep. Very comfortable today, only painful if I bump the regions. Dr Key prescribed hydroquinone cream to prevent the entry sites from hyperpigmenting. I start that tomorrow. Updated on 12 Jun 2016: Now that the swelling and bruising have substantially improved, I can really see the results! Dr Key wasn't sure my kind of cellulite would respond--i.e. the linear, furrow type--but as you can see from my Before pic (left thigh), it has totally worked! I'm really very pleased.
Dr. Key and his staff are the best. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I was well taken care of. First they took before photos. Then the started the numbing process. The experience level is top notch. Beautiful office. As promised there was no downtime. I am looking forward to my next PicoSure.
So I have always been an active person who doesn't eat junk and works out or does yoga 3 to 4 times a week, but cellulite has always been a struggle for me. Even as a teen I played soccer and was a cheerleader and remember having cellulite in high school. We in the last few years my dimple have gotten much worse and much deeper and all I can think about is my grandmas horrible cellulite she has all over her legs and she is thin. I pray that wont be me one day. Well thank god for cellfina! I am 5'2 115lbs and I had my procedure today which treated 24 spots. I was lucky enough to get cellfina for free to be used as a model at the Key Laser Institute in Portland. There were 2 cellfina physicians along with a nurse and Dr Key and his amazing staff who held my hand every step of the way. First they start by marking the areas then they suction up a portion of the area in a vacum device and insert needles for the numbing process. The numbing process is the most painful part. It feels like the suctioned area is a water balloon filling up with burning fluid about to explode initially. I would say pain for me was a 5 out of 10 and then once the numbing medication is in the areas around it arent as painful. The thigh area was the worst for me personally. After you are numbed the use the same suction device and instert a blade and move it in a windshild wiper motion cutting the bands to release the dimples. It sounds like a mini chainsaw, but there was no pain for this part. In all the pricedure was a breeze and yes you will have pain, but its worth having a smoother bottom! I am getting copies of my pre op photos on monday which I will post next week. Im so excited to seethe results to come! Updated on 27 Jan 2016: I still don't have my pics from the Dr yet, but the results are amazing from what I can see!! I literally have no cellulite anymore.. A serious miracle! my husband was in disbelief when I took the bandages off the next day, he said he could already tell a difference! If course there is a lot bruising and some swelling, but from what I can see there are no more dimples. I will say the first few days were very tough to sit especially on the toilet. I went to work the next day and had no problem since stand mostly being a makeup artist. I recommend this procedure to every women who has this unsightly problem. There is finally a cure! My Dr is a bit old school so he is kind of being weird about sending my photos, but the nurse told me to call Thursday and she would send them to me. So I will be posting them hopefully at the end of this week. ???? Updated on 28 Jan 2016: Day 6 post procedure Updated on 4 Feb 2016: Still bruised and still is sore. The pain is pretty deep and almost feels like my sit bones are bruised. Anyhow it's worth every bit of pain because I feel like I'm looking good. On February 22nd I'm getting thermi tight ion the upper thigh lower butt area to lift the skin and sub due any other rippling that cellfina wasn't able to treat. I called my provider today to get before pics, but they still haven't sent them, they keep saying it could violate hippa. I don't see why though considering its my body. Hopefully I will get them soon. Updated on 23 Feb 2016: Here is some before photos. Updated on 23 Feb 2016: So the incision sights are pretty lumpy feeling to the touch and are red and raised plus I scar dark brown unfortunately. So I am getting IPL treatment next month for that. Something to keep in mind depending on how you scar and your skin tone. It kind of looks like acne or pimples which is unattractive, but still better than cellulite in my opinion. I also started using bio oil which should help. in addition to cellfina, I had my first thermi tight treatment today which felt very relaxing like a heated massage. The only down side is it can take up to 6 months to see results, but that's fine by me. I am already happy with the cellfina results. I am gonna have the best bum I have ever had soon enough! Yay!
(side note: the procedure was Juvederm, not Restalyne. I put Restalyne as the category because they wouldn't let me review Juvederm a second time) After getting lip injections from a doctor who left my top lip over injected and lumpy, I decided to try a dermatologist instead of a facial plastic surgeon. I told them my situation was urgent and they squeezed me in less than a week later (despite having to wait nearly 3 months for an appt at the place that messed me up) Holly, an assistant of Dr. Key, performed the procedure. (Dr. Key charges more than his assistants, but they are trained by him and do a really great job). My lips are now not only back to normal but are looking how I originally intended the first time around. The procedure was quick, relatively painless and healed in only a few days. They used a numbing cream that worked really well and the whole thing went smoothly. I was honestly very scared I'd be stuck with uneven lips for quite some time or would have to get the reversal enzyme....but they were evened out quickly and easily. I would definitely recommend Key Laser to friends and will be returning for more fillers in the future Updated on 8 Jan 2016: Key laser and its staff are miracle workers, here are before and after pics to show the disaster they saved me from lol
Each area was 800 - I did 3 and it was so worth it. Great results - did my flanks/love handles on the back side and one for my pooch in front. Lost fat that has been stubbornly hanging on for 20 years! Yay!
Stretch marks and melasma
Couldn't stand looking at my spider veins another day
To help fight a ruddy complexion. I am a southern California gal. Now at age 64, sun damage over the years is a real problem. A procedure called CO2 dot therapy was recommended to me. It's like someone has taken a magic brush, and brushed away fine lines, and acne scars of many years ago. I am thrilled with the results.
The hollowing of your cheeks, and correction with fat transfer injection, ALMI method, may be the best answer for the “look” of your eyes
In my experience with Infini in treating acne scarring in patients of darker skin color, hyperpigmentation is very uncommon, whereas with CO2 resurfacing in patients of darker skin color hyperpigmentation is extremely common. As a general comment the improvement in acne scarring has been much greater in my Infini treated patients, with much greater patient satisfaction than was seen fractionated C02 laser resurfacing.
Your best result after a Thread Lift, whether this is Silhouette(PLLA) or Novathreads(PDO) or Mint threads(PDO) are not the day of your procedure but in my experience a window of 4 to 6 months later. Gentle YAG laser treatment, or Ultherapy, or even Infini RF can be done immediately prior to a Thread Lift procedure, but the real question is how long to wait after a Thread Lift procedure before doing a deeper reaching energy base treatment, and as a general rule with my patients we are waiting at least 3 to 4 months.
Your best results with Thread Lifts are not the day of your procedure but may well be several months later. The threads are absorbable, whether they are PLLA (Silhouette) or PDO(Novathereads or PDO(Mint Threads). As the body over 4 to 6 months gradually dissolves the threads placed under the skin there is a replacement of the "thread" suture by both Type I and Type II collagen, so that our best results because of this collagen stimulation are delayed and not surprisingly are best seen at 4 to 6 months. This may help to explain why our Thread Lift results are lasting not just up to 18 to 24 months but surprisingly longer. Ultherapy and Threads are both collagen stimulatory, so why not use them together, as we often do. Ultherapy can be immediately followed on the same day of treatment by Threads, but after Threads, we most often will wait at least 3 to 4 months before doing Ultherapy.
The best way to think about these two choices, ALMI and Sculptra, is that they are really not the same choice, in the process of aging what has been lost in the fullness of your cheeks and hands, in that subtle aging clock of time, is fat, the loss of shape is the loss of fat structure, ALMI, microfat and nanofat transfer injection is replacing what has been lost. Sculptra gives volume correction through collagen regeneration, but isn't adding the fat that has been lost. If you might have some "fat to pinch" maybe on the tummy or thighs, then you would become a good self donner to obtain the small amount of fat needed for ALMI, micro nano fat graft transfer, with a correction that might span years. If you are thin then pendulum for correction swings more to Sculptra.
