I had an FDL tummy tuck in December 2021. I’m almost 9 months post op and I am not happy with my results. 10lbs of skin was removed so most of the skin is gone and my doctor said lipo was not necessary but I feel like he should have done lipo. I feel like a box and I paid ALOT of money for this tummy tuck and the results are not satisfying at all. I don’t have shape and I feel there is extra skin especially when I sit down.

Answer: Residual Skin Laxity Your problem isn't that you didn't get liposuction. The problem is that you had a massive skin stretch from being obese, and there is nothing a surgery can do to help rejuvenate your skin with more organized collagen and increased elastin. Massive weight loss patients who get body contouring surgery are prone to relaxation of the skin and require re-excision for optimized results. Your surgeon did nothing wrong.

Answer: Tummy tuck results Dear Peaceful984030, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
