No, the procedure it’s perform in the proper way, but it looks that you have a Bariatric surgery, so you lose a lot of weight, and the proper way to manage the extra skin it’s with a 360 tummy tuck, and you have just extended, you will need to complete the 369 tummy tuck, to remove the extra skin in the sides
You have dog ears both sides and the way it looks sitting most likely you will need a circumferential Tummy tuck in orde to get rid of the saggy skin all the way around. Dog ears will not improve with nothings but removing the excess of skin and a bit of liposuction of the area. Extended incision will be absolutely needed. Dr. Cárdenas
Dear Genuine957207,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
You are not botched. You do have some excess fat in the hip, not flank, area that might be addressed once healed. However, you are early in the process so be patient.
Hi! What you are seeing is the transition from your waist to your hip when you lay down and some fullness from your buttocks, which is normal in most people. If you are concerned about your outcome, the best course is to visit your plastic surgeon for a post-op appointment and discuss the results and options moving forward with them.

From your photos it appears you have a nice result. Depending if all swelling has resolved you may have some excess skin sometimes called "dog ears" at the hip area. This would involve minimal skin excision to correct. I encourage you to speak to your surgeon about your concerns.
Your results look very nice. Standing photos of you taken of your back would Sid in accurate assessments. Sitting or laying down always changes how you look. It does not mean a botched procedure.

Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note the results of your abdominoplasty. The abdomen appears flat, the incisions were well placed and the scars are maturing well. However, where the incisions end, the fullness persists. Liposuction may remove localized fat repositories, but in this situation, it is generalized and there is also excess skin present. A secondary revision may be required to eliminate this residual fullness, by extending the incision laterally and posteriorly to the back (beltectomy) and removing this excess tissue. 15% of cosmetic surgeries can be improved through secondary revision.Revisit your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...

Surgical fluid does not respond well to medication, but does go away as your injured lymphatics begin to work. Wearing compression garments can be helpful and avoiding too much activity early on in the healing process.
I recommend performing a Tc scan and then you can know if the muscle repair it’s open again, or if it’s fat that you need to remove with liposuction.
