Looking for advice about my rhinoplasty. I had my first surgery about 2 years ago. 4 months later my dr was not satisfied with the result and said we need a revision. 4 months after the revision same thing - he said I need another revision. Now it is 6 months after the 3rd surgery. My nose still has a depression and it also feels super long compared to my starting point. Any advice? Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Answer: Tip support Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you're going through this stressful process. To fix this, a revision surgery would be needed to deproject yet also support the tip from dropping. Often this will require using rib cartilage given that with each revision the native cartilage tends to become weaker and weaker. This is a fairly complex case, and I would seek out a surgeon who performs revision rhinoplasties on a regular basis. I hope this is helpful, and I wish you all the best. -Dr. P

Answer: Long Nose Hi there! Sorry that you've experienced trouble with your rhinoplasty revisions. As for the structure of your nose now, it likely needs a revision to create substantial change. This would involve rebuilding your tip to create a more natural look which isn't so long and projected. To achieve this, strong grafts are needed - either from the septum or rib. There are options for sure. Seek consultation with a facial plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. Hope this helps!

Answer: Considerations for a fourth revision rhinoplasty Hello, and thank you for your question. Based on your photos (while a personal evaluation is still best), you seem to have an over projected or drooping tip, which is a common issue that revision rhinoplasty can fix. Revision rhinoplasty is even more complex than primary rhinoplasty and requires advanced skill and technique. It is imperative you seek consultations and treatments from reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeons, particularly those with plenty of experience performing rhinoplasty procedures. During your consultation, your surgeon can assess your nose, determine your eligibility for revision rhinoplasty, and recommend the best approach to ensure the best possible results.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Your tip cartilages are too prominent and although the bridge has been adequately treated, now you need your tip cartilages reduced in length. A tip rhinoplasty should correct the long ptotic tip you still have.
