How long before I can have a forehead reduction revision? It's been 6 weeks since my last revision.

I had a forehead reduction and the results were terrible. The surgeon did revisions 11 months later and the results are still not good at all. It’s been 6 weeks since the revisions. I will not be going back to this surgeon and am wondering how long I have to wait for another revision from a different surgeon?

The biggest questions here are related to the goals of treatment and the problems that required revision. A revision might mean scar correction, hairline shape correction, further lowering of the hairline, need for hair transplants, etc. Some of these could potentially be performed within several weeks or months of the previous surgery, but this is very case-dependent. If the revisions are being performed due to inadequate forehead reduction (hairline advancement), this may go back to whether the patient was a good candidate in the first place or what the expectations were of the procedure. Be sure to consult with an expert in forehead reduction surgery to review the options in detail and formulate a customized treatment plan.All the best,

Please post photos of your procedure.  While 11 months was a good amount of time to wait for your first revision, 6 weeks is generally too short.  However, there are certainly other issues that should be evaluated sooner.  Regular followup is important after any surgical procedure.

Its really impossible to answer your question without additional information, or even better with some photos. Why are the results terrible? Is it the scar? Is the position of the hairline not low enough? Was it hair transplantation or actual forehead reduction with a trichophytic technique? Please provide additional information or better yet some photos.

Was this forehead reduction done by hair transplants or by surgical hairline advancement?  If the former (grafting) you cannot tell the results for at least 10 months.  If done by surgery, this becomes a challenging case that needs to be evaluated with photos and video and ideally in person or by webcam.
