Forehead reduction using the (ITHL) Irregular Trichophytic Hairline Lowering Incision. Your forehead is just shaped that way! It can be improved by Lowering your hairline. This technique allows hair to grow thru the scar so it doesn’t show. See a very experienced surgeon who can show you many natural results of this procedure.
You do have some extra volume to your bone but it is unlikely to be anything that would be worth fixing. The best methodology would be to do a forehead reduction where some skin is removed from in front of your anterior hairline then the hairline is pulled lower. There will be a scar that fades beautifully with time. This would mask the extra bone in your forehead. It doesn't look that bad IMHO! Hope that helps!
There are a couple of reasons why you are noticing your forehead. One is that the bone is slightly sloped outward, but it doesn't look like a lot from your photo. The main reason is it noticeable is that your hairline is a little high exposing that part of your head. If you simply lower your hairline about an inch you wouldn't really notice the bone as it slopes back. Lowering the hairline entails making an incision within your hairline. Stitches stay in for a week, but a lot of people even wear a headband a few days after surgery to cover it up and go about their day since recovery is not bad at all. Once the stitches come out the incision stays pink for a few months, but you can cover it up with concealer. Hair starts to grow through the incision at about 3 months to make it not noticeable at all. Best of luck to you, Sarah Saxon, MD
The contour of your forehead is not abnormal but your high hairline has given you a large forehead. I suggest you consider a forehead reduction using the Irregular Trichophytic Hairline Incision technique. Place your long hair over the top of your forehead so you can see the improvement that would be achieved with this procedure.
I would want to see your entire face in profile to see the overall proportions. From such a view, I might recommend a forehead reduction to move your hairline a bit lower
Thank you for your question of photo! You are very early in your recovery I would give it up until 6 weeks post op to see where you are with those marks. Best of luck!Dhaval Patel Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Chicago Hoffman Estates Oakbrook Orland Park
