Protruding forehead vein after 2 filler treatments, advice? (photos)

A combination approach of filler to camouflage the veins along with lasers will give the most improvement for forehead veins. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your pictures and questions. While fillers are an option to try to improve the contour, I would ask you why not just consider fixing the actual problem and addressing the vein. I would see a PS about possible surgical or injectable ablation of the vein itself. This would fix the actual problem and provide a permanent solution. Hope this helps!

These are normal veins on the face and can get prominent over time and are mostyl seen in perople who are very active and do regular work outs. Unfortunately fillers are not the way to treat these and am not surprised that you see lumps because of the filler. Usually we don't recommend any intervention but if they really bother you sclerotherapy will work great. 

This is a common problem that I come across to in practice. In your case as of now, I do recommend dissolving the product as it is visible in the photos. In my experience, treating the forehead with PRF (plasma rich fibrin) or sculptra have yielded the best results in efforts to stimulate more college and elastin production in the area and therefore masking the look of the protruding vein. It is still recommended that you seek a cosmetic injector to best evaluate your case.

While fillers are great for improving forehead contour and correcting forehead volume loss, I don't think it is the right treatment for forehead veins. These vein are normal anatomy and I'm not sure I would recommend any treatment for them. Now that you have had the filler done and there appears to be lumps from the filler, you will probably want to have the filler dissolved using hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase will work if you had a hyaluronic acid based filler like Restylane or Juvederm injected. Good luck.
