NeoGraft is the preferred treatment by board certified facial plastic surgeons for the flexibility for any hair style - short or long, shorter recovery time, naturally looking results, 1-2 week recovery time, few complications and local anesthesia/no intravenous or intramuscular sedation.

The main difference is the scar left on the posterior scalp with the strip method versus a lot of small (<1mm) scars with follicular unit extraction method. The latter allows one to wear the posterior hair line very short without concern for a visible scar.
