Can you please tell me the pros and cons of each technique.
Answer: NeoGraft vs. Bosley Thank you for your question. To begin, Bosley is not a hair transplant technique and is instead a corporation that provides hair transplant services at different centers across the country. Neograft, on the other hand, is a device that assists your surgeon in performing a follicular unit extraction (FUE) hair transplant procedure. I think that what you are looking to decipher is whether the traditional strip method or whether the FUE method for hair transplants would be best for you. In my experience, and having performed hundreds of hair transplants using both methods, the FUE method using the NeoGraft technology has yielded very natural results with very minimal downtime/recovery time and discomfort and no need for general or sedation anesthesia. Additionally, the FUE technology affords the patient the ability to undergo a hair transplant procedure without the tell-tale linear scar of the strip method. If you are interested in having a hair transplant procedure, I would highly recommend consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon who is well-experienced in hair transplants and the various technologies offered. Surgeon expertise paired with your aesthetic goals, medical history, physical exam and lifestyle are all critical factors when determining which method is best for you.

Answer: Neograft vs Bosley Bosley is a chain hair surgery offering strip procedures and now with some centers offering FUE. They rely heavily on advertising and your quality of result is not dependent on their brand but individual surgeon. They do not use robotic technology.Neograft is a handheld FUE tool with suction extraction. There are two current versions available since Neograft’s launch. Here are some of the factors prospective patients should consider when using Neograft: Does suction damage the graft? This is a controversial element and information varies depending on how you speak with. The consensus is that suction can potentially harm a hair follicle. There are Neograft physicians who turn the suction element off due to damage and use it solely as a handheld FUE device. Is it any better than handheld FUE? The answer is probably not and potentially worse. Handheld FUE is where you manually extract the hair while in Neograft it is vacuumed up a tubing. How does it compare to ARTAS? ARTAS is unquestionably a superior technology. ARTAS can control the exact angle, uses artificial intelligence to help detect ideal hair follicles, can make micromilleter adjustments, and has no fatigue. Neograft is a handheld FUE attached to a vacuum. Are there concerns with Neograft? The model of Neograft is to have technicians come to your office and do the case for surgeons who don’t specialize in hair. This can lead to poor results as hair restoration is not just up having technicians extract and throw hair follicles on your head. It should be a carefully planned procedure with physician guidance including hairline design, use of regenerative techniques, hair angle design, and ensuring the graft quality is ideal. The traveling team of technicians model does not seem to be ideal. Can I save any money with Neograft? The biggest misconception in hair surgery is saving money per graft. Pick the technology you believe is the best and the surgeon and his team standing behind their work.Best Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: NeoGraft vs Bosley NeoGraft and Bosley are two very different entities. NeoGraft is a device designed for use by hair transplant surgeons to perform FUE (follicular unit extraction) hair transplants. Bosley is a company that performs hair transplant as one of the services that it offers. I always recommend consulting with a fellowship-trained hair restoration surgeon to discuss all of your options (including NeoGraft) in detail. All the best,

Answer: The Value of NeoGraft We have found that the value of the NeoGraft is for the Automated Hair Transplantation System using Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) which leverages innovative technology to remove individual hair follicles from the scalp in their naturally occurring groupings of about 1-4 hairs that are then placed in the areas of the scalp where balding has occurred. NeoGraft is the preferred treatment by board certified facial plastic surgeons for the flexibility for any hair style - short or long, shorter recovery time, naturally looking results, 1-2 week recovery time, few complications and local anesthesia/no intravenous or intramuscular sedation.

Answer: Bosely vs Neograft Thank you for your question. It can also be read as what is the difference between follicular unit extraction (Neograft is an example) and the strip method (often done at Bosley). The main difference is the scar left on the posterior scalp with the strip method versus a lot of small (<1mm) scars with follicular unit extraction method. The latter allows one to wear the posterior hair line very short without concern for a visible scar.
