Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. This needs an evaluation for a possible revision. RF treatments and LED light often help. Ultherapy, thermage and microneedling RF can also help give improvement. See an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  After three months if you have not seen steady improvement in your neck appearance I would be concerned that a revision procedure will be needed to allow for redraping of the skin to achieve a smooth appearance.  Talk to your surgeon about your concerns.

Another thing that will help these situations is massage to loosen up and break apart the deep scar tissue.  Talk to your surgeon about this.

There is scarring and excess skin that is causing the residual festooning around your neck.  I would recommend a revision where the skin of the neck is undermined and redraped across your neck, removing excess skin along the postauricular hairline to eliminate these bands.
