What is the minimum age to get liposuction?

My torso (my stomach, sides, hips and back) aren't portioned well. I really hate how it looks but I'm not sure how old I have to be to be liposuction done to help shape my torso. What's the minimum age?

While there is no specific "minimum age" required for liposuction as it can be considered safe and effective for any age group with proper general health, there is essentially a minimum age for elective cosmetic surgery. Before being able to understand the risk and benefits of surgery and be able to make adult decisions regarding this, one needs to be an adult, which usually means 18 before you can legally consent for such a procedure.Hope this helps!

While there isn't an exact age range for liposuction, body contouring should be done to improve shape. Specific areas can be targeted to help even young bodies. Find a board certified plastic surgeon and review before and after pictures!  Good luck.

The procedure can be safely performed on patients of a variety of ages for "medical" reasons.Cosmetic surgery is best reserved for adults of at least 18 years of age. Liposuction can be great for those who feel like they are not proportioned well, as you put it. We can really focus on the bothersome areas. In person consultation is the best way to tell if you are a good candidate. The best candidates are healthy and have stable weight, and typically are 18 years old or older.

In general, there is no minimum age for a surgery such as liposuction.  If you have a legitimate problem that could be helped by liposuction, then you would be a candidate.  It would be very rare to see a patient much below the age of 18 with a concern that would be helped with liposuction.  I hope that helps.Best regards.
