Thanks for the question. It is safe to take a medication to help you sleep after your lip filler treatment. Since the discomfort is likely due to swelling you are experiencing, you can also apply ice or cold compresses to the area to relieve the pain. I also tell my patients to sleep with their heads slightly elevated to minimize additional swelling while they sleep. Good luck on your recovery and enjoy your results!
Great question! Yes you should be fine to take sleeping pills to help you sleep after filler injection if you want. Just don't sleep on your face / lips and don't put any pressure on the lips.Best of luck and hope this information helps!- Dr. Roger Tsai Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Yes, using your normal sleeping medication will not have any effect on your filler or vice versa. The swelling from the injection is likely causing your pain, which will go down after about two weeks. You may want to ice the injection site to help reduce the swelling and subdue the pain.
It is fine for you to resume your medications including sleep aids after filler treatment. The swelling is likely what is causing you discomfort. You may want to use intermittent cold compresses to soothe the area.
Hello - it is totally fine to take some medication to help you sleep. Just be careful that you don't end up sleeping on your face, and to try to keep your head elevated with at least 2 pillows. This will help keep swelling from building up in the lip area while you sleep. Enjoy your injections! Best - Dr. Singleton

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and I am sorry to hear of your injection issues. Rarely nerve irritation after filler placement can cause hypersensitivity or a burning like quality. This typically resolves with time but can take 6 weeks to 6 months. I would revisit with your inj...
You were great about documenting in photo's the journey to what appears to be a little brown spot on your lip. If I look closely in the photo's, I see a small cold sore like bump under the skin of your lip. Once this little bump went down, you are left with a brown mark. It looks like the ...
Thanks for the question and I appreciate your concern. The tingling could be due to the fact that the filler is getting reabsorbed by the body. I would schedule a follow-up with your doctor for an in-person assessment as dermal filler injections in the nose can have complications. In rare...
