Can I do Botox and then a Photofacial (IPL), a week apart?

There should not be any reason why you can’t do an IPL treatment one week after Botox. At this point, the medication has settled into the muscle and will not migrate to other areas. Many patients like to combine treatments like this to optimize their improvement. Make sure you are working with an experienced, board-certified dermatologist to ensure the best possible results from both your procedures.

Yes, Botox is often done in conjunction with resurfacing lasers such as Fraxel and light sources such as BBL. I often do the Botox a week or more before the laser so that the skin heals on a more relaxed surface. 

I dont think that there will be any issues having a photofacial one week after botox.  Theoretically, the heat could denature the botox molecule and decrease the length of effectiveness.  If I could choose, I might do the photofacial first for that reason.

There should be no issue with having an IPL treatment one week after receiving Botox. I would recommend strict sun protection before and after your IPL treatment to ensure better results and a safer treatment. Best wishes.

My recommendation is to do the botox injection first.   Then you can even come in as early as the next day and get the IPL.   There are some practices that even do both treatments the same day. 
In our practice - I would do the botox first - then wait 3-7 days for the treatment to work.   Then come back anytime after that so the provider do a follow-up and then do the IPL.   This way you get the best of both.
