I’m 59 year old male , had a lower face lift 7 years ago … fast forward-to present time , I have read so many good reviews regarding the deep plane face&neck lift and I’m impressed with how it treats the mid and lower face … also would like lower cheeks volumising with fat graft where appropriate
Answer: Facelift I’m not convinced there’s a difference between the standard facelift and the deep plane. The deep plane often gets oversold. My advice is this. What matters most is the surgeon you choose so choose the surgeon you feel dies the best work and the one you feel is right for you

Answer: A deep plane facelift is a reasonable option after previous lower facelift Hi Thank you for your question. A deep plane facelift as you may know involves dissection deep to a layer in the face called the SMAS. In doing the surgeon releases ligaments which can hold the SMAS fixed so it can be repositioned without tension. As you say it is the most effective and long lasting technique in facelifting and would treat some of the laxity which seems to have returned in your case. Combining deep plane facelift with fat grafting also helps restore volume that we lose through ageing. I hope this helps .

Answer: Facelift: things you should know Thank you for your question and for providing photos. You would likely benefit from a facelift to improve skin elasticity, lift fallen tissue, and define the overall face shape. During this procedure, the deep fascia tissue and muscle is tightened and lifted upward toward the cheek and outward in the neck area. The cheeks can also be elevated to a more youthful position. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can conduct a thorough physical examination and review your surgical history. They will be able to best determine what procedure is right for you.

Answer: Deep plane facelift would be appropriate secondary procedure Thank you for sharing your questions and photographs. You have moderate volume loss and significant descent of the midface tissues and malar fat. The best approach for this would be a deep plane facelift, especially since you have volume loss. If deep plane facelift performed well, you likely would not need fat grafting. Also, patients undergoing facelift or neck lift as a secondary operation do better with deep plane facelift. Deep plane facelift technique would achieve additional results in the neck and improve jawline definition.

Answer: Answer is yes Hi,There is no difference indication between deep plane face lift and classic smas lift on the lower face. However if you focus on malar area, nasolabial folds you have to choose deep plane. There is a strong ligament over the zygoma we call zygomaticocutanos ligament. If its not released during the operation not effective to malar area. My advise If you want a long term and natural result find a surgeon who practice deep plane surgery. Thank you for your pictures Best of luck
