I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience with the incredible facelift surgery I recently underwent. From start to finish, the journey has been nothing short of transformative. The results have exceeded all of my expectations, and I am genuinely overjoyed with how I look and feel.

Before the surgery, I was understandably nervous about the process. However, my concerns were quickly alleviated thanks to the remarkable care and expertise of Dr Yapa. After speaking to multiple surgeons, I was immediately sure I wanted Mr Yapa to perform my surgery. He took a lot of time to understand exactly what I wanted, he explained everything very clearly, and he made me feel so comfortable and reassured that I went into the surgery with almost no nerves. Looking back I can’t believe how laid back I felt as I walked into the operating room and lay down! I was definitely more excited than nervous. He was really supportive post-op, responding quickly to any questions or worries I had. The outcome was better than I could have imagined, and I’m so grateful to him for the result. I feel so much more confident about my appearance, he has changed my life!
Pictures are 3 months post-op, but majority of the visible swelling was gone after 2-3 weeks.
My procedure was a septo-rhinoplasty. This was to remove the bump on the bridge of my nose, to reduce the bulbous tip, and to even-out the slight asymmetry of my nostrils. The ‘septo’ part was to straighten my nose.
Post-op, the swelling and bruising was very minimal, which is surprising given all the different parts to my surgery! This was down to the surgical techniques Mr Yapa uses, specifically designed to reduce the impact of the surgery and improve recovery.

From the start of the consultation, Mr Yapa was very in tune with what I was looking for with my rhinoplasty offering reassurance and guidance of what he could achieve. It gave me the confidence to undergo the procedure, knowing that Mr Yapa had completely understood and that we were both on the same page as to the final outcome, which I am extremely pleased with.

Dr Yapa is the best surgeon, he is so friendly and gentle, he explains everything clearly and answered all of my questions. He filled me with assurance and confidence to get my nose done with him, it’s something I have wanted to do for years! Even on my surgery day I wasn’t nervous. All the people that helped out within my experience were lovely. I brought my parents along with me as my support and he helped explain to them what he was going to do and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of my nose and it’s only been a month! I still have a road to recovery for swelling to be fully gone but I was amazed by his techniques because I had little to no swelling and bruising. He has been so accommodating with keeping updated with my recovery which is so important. 1000/10 would recommend!

During our consultation, I wanted a slight change in my nose, not to be a swoop just straight and he did just that. He understood what I wanted and just went above and beyond for it. This beyond what I expected. He is an amazing, empathetic surgeon.

Would highly recommend - Otoplasty / Pinnaplasty. Mr Yapa made me feel extremely comfortable on every visit regarding my ear pinning surgery. On the first visit, he explained the surgical procedure and shown me how my ears would potentially look after the surgery (by holding them in place). On the second visit, Mr Yapa answered further questions I had for when I could resume normal day-to-day activities after the surgery/recovery period. Furthermore, he also explained the day of the surgery in more detail, and I was pleased to find out that I could return home on the same day as surgery.

On the day of the operation, Mr Yapa visited me in my room before surgery to see how I was, which helped massively with keeping calm and relaxed as I was nervous due to this being my first operation.

Finally, I visited Mr Yapa 6 weeks after my operation, and I entered the room with my hair up – I used to never wear my hair up before the surgery – and he commented on my change in confidence.

Mr Yapa and this surgery has completely changed my life. I would highly recommend considering this surgical procedure with Mr Yapa because my ears were completely different due to the shape of my ears and one stuck out more. I am unbelievably amazed by the outcome of the surgery and how my ears now look. The scar is barely noticeable, Therefore I am tremendously happy with the success and result of Mr Yapa’s surgery.

My surgery was carried out at Manchester Spire Hospital and the whole team are absolutely amazing. Everyone is so kind and helpful.

I am in my early sixties and after a significant weight loss was unhappy with the way my face looked and decided that I would like to have a face lift.
I arranged a free consultation at the Spire with Mr Yapa and he explained what the procedure entailed and managed my expectations. There was no pressure to go ahead with my surgery.
I decided to proceed and completed a pre op questionnaire and attended for blood tests to ensure that I was medically fit before the surgery.
I had my procedure at the Spire and remained overnight to ensure that the nursing staff could monitor my recovery.
Post surgery I have attended the Spire as an outpatient on a few occasions to meet with Mr Yapa to check my progress.I have been very happy with the ongoing support received from Mr Yapa and his team Pam (Practice Manager) Michelle ( Secretary) and Jac (nurse).
I am delighted with the results and recently met with a friend I haven’t seen for quite a while who told me that “ I looked younger but couldn’t see how that was possible “ .
