I had a breast reduction in 2005. At that point, I was 20 years old and was a 30E bra size. I ended up a C cup. I wanted to be a B cup... but I think, in all honesty, the surgeon was reluctant to make me that small (perhaps due to my age but also as he indicated that I should maybe just have a breast lift... no way!!). Anyway, it was an improvement on what I had, so I was disappointed but relieved not to be an E cup anymore. Still a C cup. Is it is possible to be reduced further?
Answer: It is possible Dear thighslipo thank you for your question. It sounds like your first procedure gave you some relief, but it’s perfectly valid to pursue the results you truly want. It is entirely possible to have a second breast reduction, often referred to as a revision breast reduction. Many patients opt for this when they wish to achieve a smaller size than their original reduction allowed or if their breast size has increased over time due to weight changes, pregnancy, or other factors. It’s essential to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. They’ll evaluate your breast tissue, skin elasticity, and overall health to determine what’s achievable. It’s worth noting that removing too much tissue can sometimes compromise blood supply or affect nipple sensation, so an experienced surgeon will guide you carefully through the options.

Answer: Second Breast Reduction A second breast reduction, or "re-reduction," can be a viable option, but it comes with some specific risks. One of the primary concerns is preserving the blood supply to the nipple and areola. If the blood supply is compromised, it could lead to nipple necrosis, though this is rare with careful planning. Altered nipple sensation or loss of sensation is also a potential risk. An experienced surgeon will understand the implications of your previous surgeries and have experience with revision procedures. Factors like hormonal fluctuations or weight changes could contribute to breast regrowth, making the need for a second reduction more likely. To minimize risks, it's essential to consult with an experienced plastic surgeon who specializes in revision procedures. They can assess your previous surgery and create a tailored plan to ensure the best outcome while addressing the unique challenges of a second breast reduction. Answer: Second breast reduction is possible Hello, a second breast reduction is very possible and not uncommon years after the first one. There will be a limit on how much breast tissue can be removed due to preserving blood supply to the nipples. It is also helpful, but not necessary, to know what type of pedicle your previous surgeon used but that information is not always available. Good luck with your procedure! Dr. Sumer Daiza

Answer: Regarding Re-Reduction In my practice it is possible to perform revision breast reductions. It is important for a patient to obtain the operative reports from the previous procedures and bring them to your consultation. The blood flow to the nipple must be respected in the revision case! Of course depending on the situation free nipple grafts may also be a good option in a revision case. In making a small change from C cup to B cup, you may be well-served with a minimally invasive technique like liposuction of the breasts, however this can lead to a more ptotic look as well. I would gather your old documents and schedule a consultation!
