I have researched patient experiences and prefer over-the-muscle or dual-plane placement instead of fully under-the-muscle. I want a closer cleavage gap and natural movement without cutting into the muscle, especially since I workout and worry about upper-body training discomfort. My "pinch test" is thicker than a one-pound coin, which suggests I have enough natural tissue. My goal is a subtle change from a 32B to around a C cup. A pinch test thicker than 2 cm in the upper pole is the classic threshold suggesting you have enough soft tissue coverage to consider over-the-muscle (subglandular or subfascial) placement without a high risk of visible implant edges or rippling.
At 5'7" and 52 kg you are slender, so I would still examine you carefully &mdash; the pinch test must be assessed at the upper pole specifically, since that is where coverage matters most. If your tissue is truly adequate, a subfascial placement with a modest, moderate-profile implant can give you the natural movement and subtle B-to-C enhancement you describe, while avoiding muscle dissection, animation deformity, and the workout discomfort you are worried about. Dual-plane is a good compromise when upper-pole coverage is borderline: only the upper portion of the implant sits under the muscle, and the lower pole remains over it, preserving a natural shape.

A closer cleavage gap is mostly limited by your natural breast footprint, chest shape, and safe pocket limits; placing implants too close can create problems. An in-person exam with measurements of tissue thickness, breast width, skin quality, and implant dimensions is what determines the safest pocket and size.
