How long do I need to wait between procedures?

Question

I have previously had a facial fat transfer to my cheeks and under eyes but the results did not last. I would like to undergo another fat transfer but i am planning on having a revision rhinoplasty this September with a different surgeon. How long should i wait after the rhinoplasty to go ahead with fat transfer to cheeks and under eyes?

While your face is still swollen after revision rhinoplasty, it may be difficult to determine how much fat to inject into your cheeks. When you no longer have facial swelling, that may be a reasonable time to proceed with Lipo transfer. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Hi there! I'd recommend you wait 6 months for another fat transfer. The swelling will be subsided by then and you can receive uninterrupted post-fat transfer care.

If your rhinoplasty surgeon is capable of doing the facial fat transfer, you can consider having it done at the same time. Otherwise you’ll want to wait ~3months to allow the swelling to resolve and allow for accurate assessment and planning for your facial fat transfer.

There is no right or wrong answer to your question.
A lot will depend on different variables like if the rhinoplasty involves infracturing and what part of your face needs facial fat transfer.
Typically revision surgery is done six months after primary procedures, but your rhinoplasty surgery is not facial fat transfer.
