Hi, yes it can happen due to dryness and also allergies too. You can use some nasal moisturezers to keep inside moist and antihistanamik treatment may help too. Hope you get well soon.
If your nasal blockage began 18 months after surgery, I don't think that your obstruction is related to your surgery. When people have post-surgical nasal obstruction, they tend to have breathing problems from the time that they dressing is removed. You may simply have a problem with enlarged turbinates. This can be associated with nasal allergy and nose bleeding as well. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Hello and thank you for your question. That could be the sign of an internal structural issue. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Bleeding consistently after rhinoplasty surgery is not normal. The source of bleeding may not be related to your previous surgery.Breathing issues can be associated with rhinoplasty surgery, depending on what was done during the operation.Either follow up with your provider or schedule an ENT consultation with local providers.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
Dear Rita Housseini,Thanks for your question. Experiencing bleeding and blockage 18 months after rhinoplasty is not typical and should be evaluated by a healthcare professional. While minor symptoms shortly after surgery can be expected, prolonged or late-onset issues may indicate complications or other underlying problems. It is important to consult your surgeon or an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist for a thorough examination. They may recommend diagnostic imaging, such as a CT scan, and a physical examination to determine the cause of your symptoms and appropriate treatment.Regards,Dr Nhan Ho
To avoid Stigmata of previous alarplasty, it's best to leave all scars at the nasal base. When considering nostril narrowing surgery, if the scars are left externally, this can be quite distracting. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
During rhinoplasty surgery, when nasal bones on narrowed, it tends to make the bridge raise higher than it is. I don't think it's unreasonable to keep some degree of a bump, however, some profile modifications would likely need to be performed. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
We generally recommend rhinoplasty surgery for people who have realistic expectations, and also have severe dissatisfaction with the nasal appearances. If you have the satisfaction is only mild, it may be best to hold off. I think it's reasonable to expect a bit of tip raising and bridge...
He have not seen people who are so dissatisfied with their noses after maxillary advancement surgery, that they subsequently wish to have rhinoplasty surgery. A frank discussion with your surgeon may be helpful as well. Wishing you well. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
It's understandable to feel anxious and alarmed after an incident like this, especially following rhinoplasty. The absence of crunching sounds and minimal bleeding are positive signs, and icing your nose was a good response. While there may not be visible swelling or bruising, it's wise to visit...
Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos after 6 months, bumps that do not go away are permanent and for your breathing problem, I recommend you to see your surgeon first, you may need to have a second operation. It would be better face to face consultation. Best...
