Is this normal ? Is something going wrong ? Was it the steroid injection that caused this.
Answer: Nasal evaluation Hello and thank you for your question. It is very normal to still be swollen at this stage. Steroid injections may continue to help you. I recommend that you maintain close follow up with your rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Would you consider a permanent non-surgical nose job? You appear to have somewhat thin nasal skin. Sometimes small indentations may occur after rhinoplasty surgery, and revision rhinoplasty surgery is not always necessary. Small indentations can often be repaired with microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections for permanent Improvement. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Lump after rhinoplasty Small lumps after rhinoplasty can be seen occasionally. Usually it is a deep scar or peace of cartilage, tissue. If that doesn’t respond to steroid treatment it can be removed through a small incision inside the nose in local anesthesia. Without good before and after photos it would be impossible to evaluate your result but this is far from botched. Good luck.

Answer: Rhinoplasty outcome assessment In order to get you quality assessment that we generally need to see some comparison. A complete set of proper before and after pictures would be helpful. Steroid injections can create fat atrophy. This is a fairly uncommon complication, but can lead to serious disfigurement when it happens. I think most people Should not consider fat atrophy from steroid injections as the underlying cause of undesirable outcomes. That condition can happen but it is in reality fairly uncommon. I suggest you follow up with your provider and discuss your concerns with him or her. If you want to proper second opinion consultation, then schedule that as an in person consultation with other plastic surgeons in your community. For second opinion consultations come prepared bring with you a complete set of before and after pictures and Copies of your operative report and your case, most likely an entire copy of your medical record, including progress, notes from your current provider. A copy of your medical record can be obtained by requesting it from your current provider. Look for plastic surgeons to focus exclusively on rhinoplasty surgery, or at least have rhinoplasty as a major part of their practice with at least one or two decades of experience. Look for plastic surgeons who are members of the rhinoplasty society. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
