Ihave had labiaplasty but you can still see the clitoral hood a lot even though it doesn’t protrude my labia majora, I just want the skin above my hood stitched together so it looks like an innie

Answer: Clitoral Hood Reduction Labiaplasty should almost never be performed in isolation. In most cases, a clitoral hood reduction is required at the same time as a labiaplasty. If the labiaplasty only is done, then the hood tissues will look puffy or prominent and might “stick out“. Really the labia is attached to the clitoral hood, and as such my standard operation that I almost always recommend these procedures be performed at the same time. I use the edge technique which heals beautifully, symmetrically and quickly. Please find a surgeon who has experience with labiaplasty and especially revision where you can see plenty of photos and read reviews and watch videos of healed labiaplasty patients. This is the best way to know that you will have a great outcome.

Answer: Clitoral hood reduction If your clitoral hood is thick, wide, long and protuberant, it can be decreased somewhat by reducing the sides. I pioneered a clitoropexy with clitoral hood reduction in which the clitoris is pushed closer to the pubic bone and the width, thickness, length, and protuberance of the clitoral hood can be drastically decreased. I have done it over 350 times with excellent results. It usually results in the clitoral hood being pushed well within the labia major. I have not published this technique, so no one does it like me. No matter the technique, an inexperienced or unskilled surgeon can lead to a high rate of complications, chronic scar discomfort, labial deformities, and further surgery. About 40% of my labia cases are reconstructions of other surgeons' labiaplasties. Gary J. Alter, M.D. Beverly Hills, CA - Manhattan, NY
