Hi, I had a labiaplasty and CHR done but have been left with a very bulky CH area, what i think are painful frenulum bumps sticking out of the hood and one labia minora lools fused to the labia majora. I am so unhappy and just wondered what might be possible in the way of revision. It just looks so odd and unbalanced now.
Answer: Modern Women's Health by Dr. Jukes I'm so sorry that you've experienced this. I would recommend reconstruction! As stated by some doctors below, I agree; you have enough skin on the CH to create a labia minora. I'm happy to consult with you on a treatment plan that works for you and your goal!

Answer: WHAT CAN BE DONE TO CORRECT LABIAPLASTY/CHR Thabkyou for your questionYour photos show that the prepuce (what you refer to as CHR) has not been properly addressed and can be nicely reduced to a bridge of the nose appearance. The bumps on the frenulum can be trimmed to smooth out and balance out the appearance. YOU NEED TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK when deciding on a surgeon. Look at a lot of their before and after photos, lookout reviews and investigate their training specifically in vaginal surgery

Answer: Clitoral Hood Reduction HI, It is clear that you need a clitoral hood reduction to even out the hood with the labia. I can certainly perform this under local anesthesia and encourage you to visit my web site to see how to contact me and set up a virtual consult. Regards, Daniel A. Medalie, MD

Answer: Labia reconstruction Hello. I am so sad this has happened. Given the almost complete absence of inner labia (minora), the option to address this would be reconstruction. You do have some clitoral hood skin that could be used to recreate small labia minora. I recommend for you to seek out a specialist in this area such as Dr. Gary Alter. Best wishes ~Dr. Poucher

Answer: Botched labiaplasty with bulky hood As the inventor and innovator of the wedge technique in 1994, I reconstruct many women who have had labia reductions by other surgeons, both wedge and trimming techniques. The reconstruction technique depends on the deformity. You had an overly trimmed labiaplasty with removal of almost all of your labia. You also had irregular excision of your clitoral hood, which is still very bulky and enlarged. No attempt to revise your labia should be done until you are at least five months after your past procedure. The reconstruction is much more difficult than a primary labiaplasty and should be done by a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in labia reconstruction. I published the first and most extensive paper on labia reconstruction in the prestigious journal "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" over ten years ago. You need various reconstructive techniques to give you a good appearance. The procedure will depend on your desires. If you want reduction of your hood and reconstruction of your labia minora, I would reconstruct your labia minora with clitoral hood flaps, which I invented and published in the prestigious journal "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" about 15 years ago. In this surgery, I take the remaining tissue of your clitoral hood and transfer it downward to create labia minora. I have done this surgery about 100 times with excellent results. The surgery takes about 3+ hours so it is not a simple office procedure. This will also reduce your clitoral hood. If you do not have an issue with your labia and just want marked reduction of your clitoral hood, then I would perform a clitoropexy (repositioning of your clitoris) with the hood reduction. This results in a dramatic decrease in the length, thickness, and protuberance of the clitoral hood, so that the hood is now usually within the labia majora when the woman stands. I have performed this procedure over 400 times with outstanding results. I have not published this technique, so no one does it like me. You only get one good chance to reconstruct you, so be patient and ask a lot of questions. Gary J. Alter, M.D. Beverly Hills, CA - Manhattan, NYC
