Hi & thanks for your question!Breast augmentation is a cosmetic/ self pay procedure. Insurance really won't cover any revisions or issues pertaining to it. Reach out to your surgeon for further guidance. Best wishes!
This is a personal decision based on your concern vs. comfort level. Read through what the policy covers and what the cost is to help you determine if you would feel more comfortable having the extra protection. Typically patients do not buy extra insurance, but it is an individual decision.
Thank you for sharing your question. There is cosmetassure insurance that can cover your expenses in case of any issues that you may wish to look into.
Regular insurance does not cover cosmetic surgery nor complications from the surgery. Taking a policy to cover any risks after the cosmetic procedure is smart, but is not needed in most cases. Do what makes you the most comfortable. Risks are low, but are present.
While I don't believe you need to take out special insurance for the procedure, many of us do utilize cosmetic insurance for all of our cosmetic cases to help protect our patients if something does not go exactly as planned. It is limited time insurance, but seems to offer many people peace of mind.
Hi and welcome to our forum!Life insurance: The risk of death during or following breast augmentation is quite rare (0.001% per MAUDE study). The lifetime risk of death from a motor vehicle accident is 1/107. I am still not afraid to drive!Health insurance: most companies will not cover cosmetic surgeries or most complications of cosmetic surgeriesEverything is relative. The decision for obtaining insurance is yours to make. Insurance coverage against rare events is most often not fruitful.Best wishes...
