Breast implant asymmetry - do I need a revision? (photo)

Question

It’s almost finna be a year sense i had my breast surgery . I noticed my left breast soft and seem to drop and my right breast i can feel my implant and it is upper then the left . I went to do a follow with my original doc they told me where a strap band help the implant move down wards .

Good morning!
You do have a high riding implant on that side- I doubt it will change much with a strap and it may lower the other side too much, so I would lean towards a simple capsulotomy to drop that implant into it's pocket properly.

breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery.Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size.While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.

At one year post op you are seeing your final results.  Wearing the band will not likely produce significant changes.  A revision would be needed in order to help improve the symmetry.  I've included a video I hope you find helpful.

You might get some improvement with the strap. Ultrasound treatments might be more helpful. Otherwise, surgery might be needed to lower the implant.

I generally ask patients to wait about a year before doing any revisions and you have done that.  While a strap can help, there are other opportunitites that might assist with more aggressive massage and even some ultrasound therapies.  Work with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon do evaluate your options.

Photos are no substitute for another consultation with your original surgeon or a second opinion.  If your right implant is high and getting firmer, sometimes external treatment will help to stretch the capsule and move the implant downward. If this therapy fails, open surgical correction may be of benefit.
