I would like to have surgery. My main concerns are: - I have considered fat grafting but I have been told I am too thin for that. - What is my degree of tuberous breast? I have been told both III and IV - What would be a good size for someone who is 1.70m and 52 kg, a 63cm waist and 90cm hips? - What are the softest implants in the market? - Will submuscular implants look more natural and be softer?
Answer: Tuberous breasts Dear noone311, tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Implants During your consultation, you will be measured and can try on the range of implants that best fits your frame and tissue. There you can see your "perfect size." Gel implants will be more soft than saline.

Answer: Mini lift with small implants The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast augmentation You do not have true tuberous breasts. A silicone smooth round implant placed submuscularly would give you great volume, fullness, roundness and upper pole fullness that you are currently lacking. You can artistically use the width of the implant to widen out your narrow breast base to get a great look. Perfection is not a term that I use to describe outcomes but I do believe that you are a candidate for breast augmentation. You should be a part of the sizing process to determine size range that you like.

Answer: Not tuberous… Thanks for your question and photos. An examination in person would be required to properly evaluate you, however it appears that you would be an excellent candidate for a breast augmentation, with your plastic surgeon able to advise you whether or not it should be subfascial (above the muscle) or subpectoral (under the muscle). If you are concerned about areola width or puffiness a correction can be performed at the same time. Do your research and select a plastic surgeon whose aesthetics seem to align with your own based on his or her Before and After gallery. Best of luck to you.
