Was not given the implant size I asked for - Should I be entitled to a second Breast Augmentation?

Question

I am currently 11 months post operation in which I had 275cc HP, originally I thought I was going to be given 375cc but was told on the day this was not possible and not given any further information to cancel the operation. I feel my implants are too small and they have creased in the middle as if my own tissue sits over the implant. I was offered liposuction as a fix for this however this is not what I paid for. Is this common and where do I stand?

I'm sorry you are unhappy with your breast augmentation. I encourage you to visit with your surgeon to discuss your concerns.  You may want to check your consent forms to see what was agreed to prior to surgery.  If you are wanting larger implants a revision surgery will be needed to exchange them.

Dear vsantangeli,
the price is entirely practice dependent. If it was planned to be staged than the cost may be included. If its a revision, typically surgeons only ask the patient to pay for the surgery center and anesthesia.

You need to discuss this with your surgeon. Every surgeon has his/her own policy about revision surgery.  I always clarify the size of implants with my patients prior to surgery in the preop visit and they initial the size to be used.  If for some reason, the implant is on backorder, I always let the patient know.  Shipments have been delayed over these past months as with everything else.
