Hi there, I am 37 years old, 6 foot tall, 170 pounds. My breast size is a deflated 36B… Very deflated. I had seen another surgeon who said that he would have to do two surgeries, a lift and then three months later augmentation. Found a new surgeon who says he does a new type of Lift where he plicates during implant surgery which will give a lift. Will I have waterfall or snoopy deformity? I’m probably going 600cc. Pics of me now.
Answer: Breast lift Although there are times when a breast lift is done in two stages but yours could be done in a single stage. I would certainly not advise a 600 cci implant which may be why a surgeon recommended two stages. A lollipop type lift with an implant around 450 in one stage is what I would do.

Answer: Surgery With that size implants, you may not need much lifting. If the lift is done properly, should should get good results. You may want to consider something smaller and less heavy.

Answer: Subfascial augmentation masteoplexy - will I have waterfall or snoopy deformity? I commonly perform breast lift and implants in the same operation. You will need to ask your surgeon to see photos of their results to know what to expect.

Answer: Considering options From the photo provided it is recommended that you have a lift with your augmentation. These procedures are often combined and do not need to be staged. There are some approaches that will give a little lift to the breasts, but often fall short of the result of a standard mastopexy. I encourage you to discuss your goals with your surgeon to determine what is best for you.

Answer: Mini lift with fat transfers or small implants At size 36, each 200 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. With 600 cc implants you will go up 3 cup sizes to a size DD. 600 cc implants weigh over 1 lb each, will not fit retro-pectoral and will displace inferior and laterally. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast implants and lift: One stage or two? Based on your photos, I doubt that implants alone will give you a good long term result. The question is whether to do the lift and implants in one operation. Doing them together carries a higher probability of needing a revision, but most of these are comparatively simple. I think of the two-stage approach as being the same as a 100% revision rate with the revision a major operation.
