Hi, I love how natural breasts look when you lay down, they loose volume and i find that beautiful but i want to get implants( im a 32b want to be a 32dd) and im concerned about how they would look like when i lay down on my back. If i want a natrual look when i lay down i should get a smaller implant(like 32b to 32 full c)? Or implants would never look like natural breasts when you lay down on your back? If they wont what other options do i have for getting bigger breasts?
Answer: Gel implants Gel implants are not identical to breast tissue and do not move the same. At size 32, each 100 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. An alternative to implants is fat transfers. They are usually good for 1-1 1/2 cup size change in one session. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implants For the size you want, you will need implants. If you do not choose implants that are too large and heavy for your frame and tissue, you should be able to get the natural look. A DD might be somewhat large. For a starting B cup, I would suggest placing the implants behind the muscle as well.

Answer: Could possibly not change I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Answer: Fat transfer Dear Original735565, fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can also be very effective in correcting the size and shape of the breasts due to genetic problems such as tuberous breast or Poland Syndrome, two conditions that look like misshapen or underdeveloped breasts. In addition, the following scenarios are also reason to consider breast fat grafting:• If you have chest areas that appear creased and sunken• If you desire more permanent correction than is provided by temporary fillers• If you wish to improve your body contour, revise scars, fill bodily depressions and rejuvenate the natural curve of your breasts• To fill in contour irregularities or hide obvious signs of breast implantsYou should discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure your surgeon understands your concerns and your breast augmentation goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: I love how natural breasts look when you lay down - would gel implants change the way they look when laying down? Dear Original735565, Thank you for your questions. Certainly the larger the implant you use, no matter what fill (saline or silicone) will result in an appearance that is less natural. If you use a smooth round implant, you will have more upper pole fullness than you currently have, less when you are upright with more of the volume moving to the lower pole. When you lie down, this will distribute more naturally than an anatomic or tear drop shaped implant. The smaller the implant, the more of your own tissue you will have to camouflage the implant and the more natural they will appear. Other options for breast volume enhancement include use of fat grafting. The advantage of this is it is not a foreign body, thus is more natural by definition. For some women, and you might be one of these, you may not have sufficient fat to get the volume enhancement you are looking for. I would encourage you to seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to consult with for a complete history and physical exam so that he or she might be able to offer their expert opinion based on a more complete set of information. Hope this is helpful to you and wish you well.
