Thank you for your question.There is no absolute limit to the amount of fat that can be removed via liposuction for any given body area since the maximum amount of fat available for removal will vary person to person.  The only limit when it comes to fat removal via liposuction is the total amount that surgeons are allowed to remove during a single surgical case (5000cc or 5L).  If you are interested in liposuction of your arms and the cosmetic result that you can expect to achieve, I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.  A consultation and physical exam will best determine your candidacy for the procedure.  Things to consider: amount of fat available for removal, skin tone and cosmetic goal.  I hope that you find this helpful and I wish you all of the best!

The skin tone is a big part of the decision making. Asians usually have good skin tone in their arms. Fat can be removed using a small cannula circumferentially, but also paying attention to highlighting some of the anatomic features like the deltoid area and the biceps to give the are a more athletic look. These details will make the arm look thinner and more attractive. You need to be examined to get the final answer.

Thank you for your question.From your photo it appears that you would be an excellent candidate for arm contouring with liposuction. The amount of fat that you or any other appropriate candidate for the procedure would have in the arms is never anywhere near the safe volumes for removal that surgeons or surgery facilities would be limited to. The surgeon's endpoint with arm liposuction is not so much related to the volume removed but more to reaching the desired shape and contour desired. Arm liposuction is technically somewhat more challenging than at other body parts like the abdomen and hips because of the difficulty with positioning arms when a patient is lying down on the OR table in order to effectively contour with the liposuction cannulas. These technical challenges are more often what can lead to undercorrection, overcorrection or contour abnormalities when performing liposuction of the curved surfaces of the arms and legs as compared to the more flat surfaces of the trunk. In the hands of an experienced liposuction surgeon, you should be able to achieve an excellent result. The answer depends on how good a skin contour you have.  If the skin is elastic, more fat can be removed without much negative effect.  If the skin is aging or looser, then less can be removed.  Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations.
