Dear Doctor, Does stress at work affect the rate of hair growth after a transplantation? Not physical strain, just work pressure. Plus, what is the minimum sleeping hours a patient must abide by on a daily basis? Thank you.

Stress can cause hair loss in extreme cases.  That includes non-transplanted hair as well as transplanted hair.

Usually stress causes hairloss but
work pressure ?? does not affect hair growth. The sleeping hours depend upon
the individuals needs which vary from 6-8 hours.

It is not possible to give a clear answer to this question as there is no clinical data about it. What I can say is, stress will not have a special effect on a hair transplant, however stress it a harmful situation that may effect any part of our body.

The answer is no. Just good care and a good diet, follow your doctors instructions and don't mess with your recipient site and let it heal. Leave it alone until the hair grows out that you must cut it at the salon and feel good about styling it within a week after the surgery. I had one patient that de-stressed by standing upside down on his hands, and that was fine because he was stress free that way. He fully grew out with great results.
