2 days post bone graft, why isn't there a cover over the area? (Photos)

Question

The oral surgeons nurse said it was done on purpose, but where is the bone graft material? Pain and swelling is minimal, but my stitches are on the sides of my gums, I guess I'm worried there is no bone graft.

Hi;
What you see, looks like to be the membrane that your surgeon placed over your bone to protect it from coming out of the grafted site.  Just keep it clean with the antibacterial mouthwash and let the ara heal.

For 2 days after your procedure, the area appears to be healing well and looks normal. The graft material appears to still be in place. I wouldn't worry.
