Bone graft on infected teeth - how to tell if my infection went away?

I had a 6-year chronic infection of 2 upper root canal molars (retreated) that radiated to my sinus and i was getting sinus pressure and congestion at night and in the mornings. Last week the dentist extracted both, took out a big cystic lesion and put bone graft. Its been almost a week and although i am healing quickly, my sinus did not improve and i have slightest dull pain on that side. Is there chance the infection is still present?

There is a possibility that you have an infection. It is also possible that you have or had two infections. One in the bone and another in the sinus. Removal of the tooth and cyst will resolve the bone infection, but not necessarily the sinus infection. You need to contact your dentist. You also may need to contact an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist to deal with the sinus infection.
