I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed over 10 years ago. Almost immediately after the extractions, I noticed changes in my face shape where the teeth were extracted (notably a hollownesss and changes in my upper & lower jaw/face area). Is there any way to restore the jaw area where the wisdom teeth used to be, such as with bone graft augmentation or implants?
There is a massive difference between the right side of my jaw and the left side of my jaw. One side is shorter than the other. I think it is due to hypodontia. I have been missing a second molar tooth on the bottom since birth and I think that this is the cause. Thie is because my missing tooth has been on the weaker side. As a result, my teeth have drifted and are extremely gapped. Will bone grafts and a dental implant to replace the missing tooth help or not? If not, what else can I do?
must have 20 and 30 extracted now, but can't do implant until next year. Can the graft last that long? What is the best way to have this done and have the restoration for a year and most of all be cost effective
I have to have tooth 30, and 20 extracted. Can a basic socket graft packed with just Mineralized Cortical bone hold for me to finish the following year(not 6 mths) I do not want to need another graft due to how long I wait. Are another question is can placement be done at the extraction, I would think will save me on cost big time and time? I would still need to wait for the final seat and cost to go to next year. So in order to manage the cost what is the best option Healthy everythin no smoke
I am undergoing dental work and had an implant fitted with a bone graft in August 2023. Since then I have had persistent swelling above the tooth. I have been advised to have a gum graft, followed by removal of the bone graft in 3 months before replacing the crowns. I would like to know could this be a sign of bone graft failure and would you recommend the same advice? I have been told it is likely due to excess bone graft material being present. My X-rays have shown no signs of infection.
I was having swelling gum and pain and my dentist sent me to an peridontist (now I am feeling well). There is a 8mm pocket for my inner most teeth and bone lost due to wisdom teeth extraction 5 years ago. The peridontist suggests a bone graft (D4266m D4263, D4241). Is this urgent enough so I need to do the surgey now or I can do it in Jan next year? The major reason for postpone is to wait for insurance benefits renew.
Hi, I have missing back bottom teeth and now my face is starting to wrinkle and sag on that side. I have a recessed lower jaw and small chin and to make matters worse i got masseter botox 8 months ago and again accidently during a nefertiti lift 3 weeks ago. The masseter tox made my face very narrow and jowly and its feels like my jaw is even further back now. My face is sagging now so I want a facelift. Should i replace bone and get implants or facelift first?
