57 years old im looking to have lipo 360 and other areas arms, hips and inner thighs. With vaser intense lipo is it possible to need blood transfusion or is it totally impossible because i dont want blood transfusion for personnal reasons.
Answer: Vaser Liposuction and Blood Transfusions Thank you for your question regarding the possibility of needing blood transfusions after Vaser Liposuction. Like any surgical procedure, Vaser Liposuction carries a potential risk of bleeding. However, the likelihood of requiring a blood transfusion following aggressive liposuction is extremely low. It's not impossible, but it would be exceedingly rare. To further reduce the chances of needing a blood transfusion after Vaser Liposuction, you could limit the number of areas you're having treated at once. For instance, you could start with 360 liposuction and then schedule a second procedure to address areas like your arms, hips, and inner thighs. I hope this response clarifies your concerns about the need for blood transfusions after Vaser Liposuction. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: VASER lipo and blood transfustion? Whether you would need a blood transfusion following surgery is dependent on multiple factors. The first is your starting blood count. If you are considering 360 lipo, you should try to get your Hemaglobin to above 13. in addition, you need to also have a skin excision around your upper buttock region, called a buttock tuck during your liposuction or otherwise you will be left with worse back rolls than you have. Please consider a virtual consultation with a high definition body contouring provider.

Answer: Vaser lipo and blood transfusion? detailed assessment and bespoke plan for body contouring with Vaser lipo 360 degree Hi, Thank you for your question and photos. Vaser liposuction is a minimally invasive technique that utilizes ultrasound technology to break down fat cells. It is generally considered a safe procedure with a lower risk of bleeding compared to traditional liposuction techniques. However, it is important to note that liposuction is still a surgical procedure and carries certain risks. While it is impossible to predict with certainty whether a blood transfusion will be required, in my clinical practice, I always prioritize safety and take important measures to minimize the risk of excessive bleeding and the need for a transfusion. I thoroughly review my patients' medical history to identify any factors or medications that could increase the risk of bleeding during surgery. During the procedure, I use a generous amount of tumescent anesthesia solution to minimize bleeding and provide pain relief. Additionally, for patients like yourself, I review or request blood tests to check for anemia and prescribe iron tablets if necessary to further reduce the risk of a blood transfusion. I also implement other safety measures and medications during surgery to minimize the risk of bleeding. In similar cases, I conduct a detailed physical examination, discuss your specific situation, evaluate potential risks, and provide you with accurate information regarding the likelihood of needing a blood transfusion during the procedure. Based on my experience, when all these steps are properly followed and the right patient is selected, the risk of bleeding is very low. As a surgeon, it is my priority to develop an appropriate treatment plan that aligns with your wishes while ensuring your safety and well-being. I recommend consulting with a qualified and experienced surgeon who specializes in Vaser liposuction for fat removal and body contouring. They will be able to evaluate your individual case, provide you with various options, and create a tailored treatment plan based on your medical history and expectations. Sincerely, Dr. Giuseppe Fiore

Answer: Vaser lipo and blood transfusion Vaser liposuction, also known as Vaser liposculpture or Vaserlipo, is a minimally invasive liposuction technique that uses ultrasound technology to break down fat cells before removal. The Vaser technique is designed to minimize damage to surrounding tissues and blood vessels, which can result in less bleeding compared to traditional liposuction methods. However, it's important to note that liposuction, including Vaser liposuction, is a surgical procedure, and some bleeding can still occur. The amount of bleeding can vary depending on factors such as the extent of the procedure, the areas being treated, and individual patient characteristics. In most cases, the amount of bleeding during Vaser liposuction is considered minimal. While the risk of needing a blood transfusion during Vaser liposuction is generally low, it is not impossible. In rare cases, excessive bleeding or unforeseen complications may arise, necessitating a blood transfusion. The likelihood of requiring a blood transfusion can be influenced by factors such as your overall health, the amount of fat being removed, and any underlying medical conditions you may have. If you have personal reasons for not wanting a blood transfusion, it is important to discuss this with your plastic surgeon during the consultation. They can provide a more accurate assessment of the potential risks and discuss alternative measures that can be taken to minimize bleeding and decrease the need for a blood transfusion. I hope this helps, best of luck !

Answer: Blood transfusion shouldn’t be required I recommend scheduling an appointment with a surgeon who specializes in Vaser liposuction. Vaser liposuction is a secure and minimally invasive procedure that has a lower risk of bleeding compared to traditional liposuction. The surgeon will conduct a thorough examination and may request a blood test beforehand to ensure your overall health. Our primary objective is to develop a personalized plan that is safe and does not necessitate a blood transfusion. In my opinion, Vaser liposuction that requires a blood transfusion is an unsuccessful procedure.
