I am getting my large chin implant removed next week after having it for less than 3 months. I am 22 years old male and overall healthy. I was wondering how long will I have to be out of the gym for. Last time when I got it put in, I couldn't lift for 10 days. Is it less down time since I do not have the implant in my body?

Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Typically you can fly in a day or two. I like to see my patients at day 5 to remove tape from the chin and then would say it is ok to follow up in a month. With an implant there is always an inherent risk of an infection so you would have to fly back if it happened. The swelling lasts for 10...
