Hi there! Initial swelling after Chin Augmentation or Chin Shaping goes down within the first couple of weeks however residual swelling can take several months to subside, particularly as swelling tends to travel down to the lower pole of your face. Flying a few days after a surgical procedure can be safe, but be sure to consult your surgeon and gain advice on the safest way to go about this post-operatively. Good luck.Kind regards,GB
Most of the visible swelling has subsided after two weeks. It is certainly acceptable to fly an airplane as long as the healing process is going well. Always best to check with your surgeon about traveling After surgery. Full healing takes several months.
With any surgery you will have some swelling. Using ice for 48 hours will greatly reduce this. You may notice swelling after a week or so, but others will not. It is usually safe to fly within a couple of days post op.
