Would I benefit from a chin implant? If so do you have any notes as to how to do mine? Placement/size, type of implant?

You have a moderate horizontal and width chin deficiency. The narrowness of the chin seems almost as significant as that of the horizontal projection.Depending upon your aesthetic desire a medium sized square style chin implant would help provide the width and transition back along the jawline.

 The photographs demonstrated a recessive chin, but it's also narrow from the frontal profile. A chin implant can accomplish augmenting the chin forward in addition to giving lateral width as well. Chin implants are manufactured in a large array of thicknesses, sizes, and shapes which is best determined at the time of the consultation and examination. In our practice for over 25 years, we have used Implantech brand of solid silicone  chin implants with an excellent success rate. Digital computer imaging also be helpful to understand what can be accomplished with the procedure. Chin implants can also be custom carved when necessary to match patient's unique anatomy well. A implant will improve projection and contour of your chin. The implant design should extend to the side below the corner of the mouth so you get a nice transition into the jawline. Size is estimated at the time of physical exam and confirmed during surgery with temporary sizers so the desired look is achieved.

Dear fruitpunched, You do have a weak chin with no mental fold. The chin can be augmented with a chin implant and this will provide a stronger more aesthetically pleasing profile. You also appear to have some fatty tissue under the neck that could be addressed at the same time with cervical/submental liposuction to provide a more defined jawline. Seek consultations with experts in the field and have imaging to show you the proposed results chin augmentation would provide for you. I prefer to use a small incision under the chin for the implant placement versus an intra oral approach that has a higher risk of infection and nerve complications.
