My tip cartilages are intact, safe for suturing. Can a septal extension graft be completely removed?
I would like my nose to be without any grafts, as they cause rigidity and also affect my lip movement. I want a nose more like my natural one. Can my alar cartilages be shaped with sutures, and the graft removed? Is there any possible solution without any supporting graft? If really not possible, I would like a graft design that allows my nose to bend downward when pressed (like a natural nose does when you push it 'inward'. Is this possible? I am willing to take risks like drooping if necessary. Has anyone ever designed a graft that allows kissing in a way that the nose is 'pushed in'? Can a floating strut bend down like that? What about the teostrut, S-Sword, fixed mobile extension graft, or m-shaped auricular graft or slender septal extension graft? If not, can surgeons please invent new designs that allow such movement? I am aware of scar tissue, but surely it must be possible to stabilize the tip until scar has matured, followed by degradation of the rigid, bioresorbable scaffold or something, in case grafts cannot do this? I am desperate...
